BEST OF BOTSWANA PHOTO SAFARI
Botswana's diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife provided an unforgettable PHOTO safari experience as we explored four different locations.
BENEATH THE COSMOS: A DISTINCTIVE CAMPING ADVENTURE
For the first ten nights of our Botswana safari, we enjoyed exclusive camping under the African stars, the ambient sounds of the wildlife setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.
MOREMI GAME RESERVE - OKAVANGO DELTA (3 NIGHTS)
Our exploration of the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta for three nights proved to be an exceptional start to the safari. We were privileged to witness a magnificent sunset at the Baobab tree on our initial evening, observe a female leopard lounging in a beautiful rain tree, hear a male leopard's rasping patrol call, spot a lioness returning to her concealed den, and admire a striking male lion on a termite mound. The combination of these remarkable encounters and Moremi's breathtaking landscapes got us off to a great start.
KHWAI COMMUNITY RESERVE (3 NIGHTS)
Across three nights in the Khwai Concession, we were treated to further remarkable wildlife experiences. Highlights included observing a Spotted Hyena den, witnessing large elephant herds bathing and drinking in the Khwai River, admiring a female leopard relaxing on a fallen log, and photographing a diverse array of beautiful birds.
SAVUTI AREA - CHOBE NATIONAL PARK (4 NIGHTS)
Our final mobile camp in Savuti provided a spectacular conclusion to this part of our adventure. Memorable moments included capturing stunning sunset photos of giraffes at Marabou Pan, the adrenaline-pumping experience of tracking a pack of hunting wild dogs, observing the Marsh Pride of lions with their young cubs, and witnessing diverse activity, including the rare roan antelope, at the Pump Pan waterhole. This final location capped off our mobile camping journey beautifully.
CHOBE RIVER - PANGOLIN HOTEL AND PHOTO BOATS (2 NIGHTS)
Moving to the Chobe River and staying at the Pangolin Hotel, utilizing their specialized photo boats, gave us an unparalleled vantage point for observing Botswana's wildlife. The Chobe's renowned birdlife truly shone, with highlights including Yellow-billed Storks, White-fronted Bee-eaters, African Fish Eagles, and stunning Kingfishers. We also witnessed significant elephant activity, as well as hippos and buffalo at sunrise. This unique water-level perspective provided a truly exceptional and memorable finale to our Botswana photo safari.
